Jason Haines has been sharing some ideas on his Turf Hacker blog, and one that I think is especially interesting is the idea that one can precisely match the topdressing sand quantity to the growth of the grass.
I think this equation, or one similar to it, might predict what the soil organic matter content in turfgrass soils will be.
If that equation can predict soil organic matter, then it is relatively straightforward to adjust the variables on the right side of the equation in order to achieve the desired result on the left side.
